At the end of 2010 we held a morning tea for our lovely volunteers to thank them for the hard work they had put in, in our food bank and office for the year. 2010 saw a steady stream of clients as the after effects of the Global Financial Crisis caught up with low income earners, our food bank saw a record of 53 families on one day with an average weekly number being 50 + families seeking our assistance in either food or help with bills. Our volunteers stepped up to the plate and with a smile on their faces, collected food from VIC Relief, stacked shelves, helped clients, and helped in our office

Looking towards 2011 we have our major fundraising day with the Bob Shearer Charity Golf Day at Southern Golf Club in Dingley Village. In the past 11 years the Golf day has raised nearly 1/2 million dollars to aid our services to the community.  Companies and individuals can take up a sponsorship opportunity to play with Bob Shearer and also sponsor a hole.
